talk about what your faith means to you as individuals and as a family unit.
Then you help build up the community life here at St. Theresa.

Discipleship is the goal of all faith formation.
Therefore, we seek to inform,
form, and transform individuals, families, and the entire community in
the Catholic faith. The Generations of Faith approach, rooted in
the life of the church, equips people to participate meaningfully in the life
of the church, and empowers them to live as disciples at home and in the world.
This is an on-going lifelong process.
Festivals of Faith: Our Parish Approach
“Festivals of Faith: is based on a new
approach to parish-wide faith formation, Generations
of Faith.
Who?
Everyone: families, singles and
couples of all ages
Why?
To work together on faith
formation, to prepare for upcoming
events in the
church, and to celebrate as a family and parish
what Christ
and His Church have given us.
How? An
event-centered way of learning for living the faith teaches us
more
than reading about the faith.
What? Activities,
prayer, song, Scripture, learning sessions,
reflections,
home kits
This on-going process is whatever you make of it.
In this process, we
v Prepare for participation in an event together
v Actively engage in the activity together
v Reflect on its significance at home, in small groups, in the
domestic church
v Apply our new knowledge to our lives
Home kits
extend and expand learning to help people
v Celebrate traditions and rituals
v Pray together
v Continue learning
v Serve others
v Work for justice
In families, parents will be assisted
and supported in their role as primary catechists. Relationships will be
enriched, especially in family units, and into the extended family. You’ll come
to know the people in this parish community with whom you worship and
celebrate.
A Cycle of Celebrations
Each
year, we will have four festivals:
o
Fall Festival
o
Advent/Christmas Season
o
Lenten Season
o
Easter/Pentecost Season
The only
difference each year will be the focus and the activity. The various yearly
themes include
o
Prayer
o
Creed
o
Sacraments
o
Morality
o
Social Justice/Service
