“Free Trade & Immigration—Connecting the Dots” by renowned presenter and expert Sociologist Josefina Castillo.

The presentation is on Thursday January 10th at the Friends Meeting House located at 4211 Grand Ave. (next to AFSC office). This will be a repeat session at 10:30 am and at 6:30 pm.  Josefina is also an expert instructor of popular education—your experience with her presentation will be different than the traditional models of presenting in the Midwest. She has worked with indigenous communities in Chiapas and other women groups in México. Under her leadership in Austin, important bi-national work around free trade, globalization, and immigration has taken place in the Mexico-US border.  If you have questions, please contact Sandra Sánchez, Immigrant Voice Program Director, SSanchez@afsc.org
