The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops supports Fair Trade programs through which disadvantaged artisans, farmers and farmworkers receive fair compensation for the goods they produce.  Every time you purchase Fair Trade coffee, chocolate or handcrafts through the CRS Fair Trade Program, a percentage of your purchase goes to the CRS Fair Trade Fund to help expand the Fair Trade system. Through the Fair Trade Fund, CRS makes targeted, high-impact Development Grants to help artisans and farmers overseas succeed in the U.S. Fair Trade market, and Market-Building Grants that have unique potential to help grow the market for Fair Trade products here in the United States.

St. Theresa Coffee Project offers CRS Fair Trade Coffee, Tea and Chocolate.  Found your favorite coffee?  Order ahead to make sure we have it each month!

The St. Theresa Coffee Project now offers a self-service feature that allows you to purchase our great Catholic Relief Services Fair Trade Coffee, Tea and Chocolate whenever you want.  It’s new location by the main entrance and the new self-service feature makes it convenient to purchase Fair Trade items any time the church is open.

It’s easy to use:  Choose from any of the available coffee, tea or chocolate; fill out the label with your purchase info; attach the label to your check made payable to St. Theresa; and drop it in the slot.  If we don’t have what you want, check back as the kiosk will be re-stocked every month.

Consider pre-ordering to guarantee you get what you want.  We will continue to hold coffee sales the last weekend of every month for those who pre-order.  How it works:  you sign up for want you want that last weekend of the month during coffee sales.  Your items will be waiting for pickup at the following month’s coffee sales in the white wire cart.  Your order will be labeled with your name and the price for each item.

Catalog Cover        WORK OF HUMAN HANDS

Catholic Relief Services and A Greater Gift bring you high quality, fairly traded handcrafts and gourmet food items from low-income producers all over the world through the Work of Human Hands program.  What does it mean to say that these items are fairly traded? It means that the people who produce them earn a fair price, get access to credit and training, and maintain long-term relationships with A Greater Gift rooted in the principles of human dignity and economic justice. So when you participate in Work of Human Hands, everyone wins—you get high-quality one-of-a-kind handcrafts and the people who created them get hope for a better future for themselves and their families.
