7:00PM  Opened with a prayer and overview of the agenda.

              • Introductions were made.

              • September meeting minutes were approved.

              • October 2009 financial report was approved.

Old Business:

Old business was moved ahead of committee reports so as to introduce new chairs before they made their committee reports.  Last meeting, we were actively looking for chairs for four committees.  New chairs were announced.

Teacher Appreciation—Carole Marcsisak and Rhonda Kraber

Flower Sale---Beth Kluesner and Julie Burger

            Casino Night Fundraising—Patrick Benoit

We are still in need of chair/s for bingo nights.  We may go with a different chair for each month November, December, January, and February.

Committee Reports:

  • Stampede—Amy Stevens
Reviewed the weekend events and money brought in.  Numbers are not final.  We still have some bills to pay and donations are still being accepted.  We got donations for lots of the food for the pancake breakfast.  So, costs were kept down for the breakfast.  We should have a complete report on Stampede at the November meeting.
  • Book Fair—Katie Olsen reported for Cindy Mumm
Still have openings for volunteers to work at the book fair.  A schedule of times is available.  Set up will be on Friday at 3pm until finished.
  • Teacher Appreciation—Carole Marcsisak
The committee is just getting started.  Meals will be provided to teachers during conferences.
    Casino Night—Patrick Benoit
Ideas are underway.  Looking into feasibility.  Event probably won’t be casino night.  February event is still the goal.
  • Welcoming –Moe Jackson
Would like PTC to revisit the volunteer survey to restructure volunteer opportunities.  With the combining of the social events and welcoming committee, some lines on the form are duplicative or need to be rephrased.

New Business:

  • Shannon Wilson, second vice president PTC, has stepped down.  We need a new person to fill that role on the PTC board.  Word will be sent out through edline Friday folders.
  • PTC organizing a Spring garage sale was proposed.  The proceeds would go to the PTC.  Several other catholic schools host something similar.  We will gather some more ideas, look at feasibility, and discuss more at the next meeting.

Financial Requests: none

Reminders: Our next meeting is November 16, 2009.  There will NOT be a December PTC meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 7:26PM.

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS—WE COULD NOT DO ANY OF THESE PROJECTS/EVENTS WITHOUT YOU!!!
