During the past several months the team has worked on updating teacher and classroom computers from Windows 98 to XP Professional. A donation of used computers from Polk County and the purchase of used Dell computers from Hy-Vee pharmacies made this possible. We have also upgraded our Symantec anti-virus software to a centralized version. We have added AdWare, a spyware removal utility that scans the computer memory, registry and hard drives for known spyware components and removes them. A server donated from Drake Law School is currently providing additional backup to our main systems. Edline, a web based site for parents to check middle school students progress during the semester is being implemented. The school firewall was updated. Server backup software was also updated. We have added Fortres desktop security on all student and classroom computers.
