ACCELERATED READER BOOK LIST
The Accelerated Reader search feature can be used to find lists of appropriate books for individual students. Searches can be completed by the following criteria:

Following are some instructions to assist using the search feature:

  • By Author: Self-explanatory
  • By Title: Self-explanatory
  • By Points: This refers to the number of points awarded to the student for reading a specific book. If searching for all books worth a certain number of points (e.g. 2 points), enter that number in both fields of the Points search. If searching for all books in a range of point values (e.g. 3 points to 4 points), enter those numbers in the two fields of the Points search.
  • By Book Level: This refers to the difficulty level for a specific book. This is based on the Zone of Proximital Development (ZPD), which can be supplied by the teacher for each child. A search can be completed for all books at a certain book level (e.g. 4.5) or all books in a range of book levels (e.g. 1.7 to 2.9).
  • By Multiple Criteria (Complex Search) This uses two or more of the above criteria (e.g. Points and Book Level) to create a more concise book list for an individual student.
